Georgia T. Lord Library
Event Description
What is “Mexicanidad”? Come, find out! Learn how Mexicanidad influenced the portrayal of women, indigenous people, and culture in Mexico’s art of the 20th century. Along the way, we will meet strong women, members of Mexico’s working class, and mingle in the music and culture of a country with rich historical traditions. See what led to a shift to Mexican scenes and Mexican life as worthy subjects for art.
