Event Description

Children learn best when they engage all of their senses—seeing, hearing, touching, moving, smelling, and even tasting. In this interactive workshop presented by Bath Haas with the Harmony Institute at ASU, parents will discover simple, fun ways to support their child’s learning through everyday experiences, with a special focus on shared reading. Participants will learn how reading together from infancy through the early years helps build vocabulary, comprehension, and other essential literacy skills while also strengthening the parent-child relationship. The workshop will provide practical strategies for bringing stories to life through hands-on activities, helping children connect new knowledge to the world around them and deepen their sense of security, trust, and connection with the adults who care for them.

This program is intended for caregivers of young children. Registration is required. This program can accommodate a maximum of 30 adults (chair seating).
