Build a Mosquito

Event Description
Come learn about mosquito diversity in Maricopa County and around the world through an interactive program that combines science and creativity. Participants will explore the basics of insect anatomy and view real mosquito specimens up close under a microscope.. Afterwards, everyone can construct their own model mosquito using materials such as foam balls and pipe cleaners.
Maricopa County Environmental Services Vector Control will also share information about the mosquito life cycle, talk about what attracts mosquitoes, and how to eliminate locations where mosquitoes can grow.
Recommended for participants in the 3rd grade and older,
